Acid-Stained Concrete - In this process, we'll take an acid-based stain and apply it to any concrete that has already cured. Following these steps, we have the ability to create just about any kind of finish that you can imagine. Since the possibilities are virtually endless, experimenting with samples is important. When applied and then topped with a high-quality sealer, you'll be looking at a beautiful and durable finished floor.
Stamped Overlays - This is a very fun service to perform. With stamped concrete, we combine a stamp pattern and apply it to a color to achieve a unique look for your concrete. We do have standard stamps, but if you're looking for a different pattern, we can create one. It's normal to want to switch up the look of your home every few years, so if down the line you decide to do so and you need a new color for your stamped concrete, just give us a call. We can change the color of your stamped concrete, and repair any damage that we see at the same time.
Concrete Overlays - Typically used for patios and driveways, the process of applying concrete overlays is often a bit more complicated than people expect. We will mix sand, polymers, and cement together to create a special materials that works wonders for covering up old, cracked, or settling concrete (It can also be used to cover old countertops, wood, or vinyl floors...this stuff is awesome.) TruForm Concrete Specialists Riverside can stamp these overlays with a certain pattern, and color them with dyes, acid stains, or simply apply them with an integral color. But wait...there's more! They can be finished with products such as broom finish or hard polish, or even add rock to the mix and grind and polish it into a terrazzo finish after it's fully cured.
Micro Toppings (Overlays) - Maybe your existing floor has cracks, marks, or other types of damage. A micro topping overlay is perfect for covering those up. These cannot be stamped to create patterns because they're much thinner than other overlays, but stencils are still an option if you're looking for a design. Micro toppings do have their advantages, though--their thinness allows them to be layered to create different textures. When color is added, it will respond in different ways depending on how the layering has been performed.
Polished Concrete - The process of grinding and polishing rock has essentially been around since ancient times. Why is it still around today? Because everyone is still interested in affordable, low-maintenance durable surfaces for their homes and commercial spaces. If you're looking for an economical flooring option, this is definitely one to consider.
Epoxy FInishes - Epoxy finishes have been growing in popularity during the last decade or so. In this process, the concrete floor is first polished, then the epoxy coating is applied. The result is a durable, shiny, long-lasting finish that people are growing to love more and more.
Colored Concrete - We love colored concrete because so many people are under the impression that concrete only comes in the standard grey. We love showing people what we can do with the experience, skills, and technology that we have.
FAQs about Decorative Concrete Services in Riverside, CA
If you're looking into decorative options for an existing concrete floor, we'll have to take a look at the condition of your current concrete before discussing your options. We do have a variety of decorative finishes for you to consider, though. Or if some other design has already caught your eye that you have your heart set on, send us pictures! Having a visual is always helpful for us to determine what will work best.
We always recommend sealcoating your concrete, no matter what. While concrete is not the most expensive option for your floor, it isn't exactly cheap. Sealcoating offers an extra layer of protection for your investment. For example, if you decide on colored concrete for your patio, the Caliornia sun will just be out there waiting to eat it up and wear that beautiful color away. Sealcoating will prevent premature bleaching of the color. Or if we get some rain for once, unsealed concrete will allow water to seep into your decorative concrete, which will ultimately decrease its lifespan over time. In short, if you ask us, sealcoating your concrete is a must!
There are rare cases in which we are unable to work with existing concrete. In these cases, the damage will be pretty obvious. But in most cases, we are able to refurbish existing concrete with a decorative finish.
We have repaired a lot of damaged concrete over the years. But whether or not we're able to tackle these projects does depend on the extent of the damage. Once we take a look at it, we'll be able to let you know for sure.
We've got a nice little list here for you:
1. It's friendly for your budget - If you have an existing concrete floor, optiong to get it polished is a great and cost-effective eway to absolutely transform the look of the floor (and the entire space.) You'd be surprised just how much the look of the area will change just be opting for polished concrete.
2. Low-maintenance - Doesn't every one love those two sweet little words? Polished concrete doesn't have the same maintenance needs as other types of flooring, such as sealants or wax. Your everyday household mop will do just fine on these, and just have it buffed every now and then for optimum shine.
3. Long-lasting - If you opt for polished concrete, you wont have to worry about it wearing out anytime soon. And if some freak accident occurs and damage is inflicted upon your flooring, the cost to refurbished will be a lot less than it would be if you had a different type of flooring.
4. Lower lighting costs - This is a little-known fact, but polished concrete floors actually increase the quality of any ambient lighting in the space. You'll need even less lighting to brighten up the room!
5. Increased safety - Because its friction co-efficiency is higher than that of regular concrete, polished concrete is surprisingly slip-resistant regardless of whether it's wet or dry.
